Challenge blog hop

Our challenge for this month is coloured inspiration from these stunning books.  Does anyone else see a Harry Potter colour theme????  Ok so I didn't have gold foil and I was NOT brining out the golf leafing with my 2 kittens (who are adorable but there kittens so there rascally lol) So I went with wild wheat and the new gold metallic enamel effects. If you put wink a Stella over the wild wheat it looks like gold as well.  Blog Hop Index

Todays card is featuring our new fun bundle forever forest. I went for a grey foggy day which is a  quintessential day for us here on the west coast, and happens to me my favorite kind of day.  TO create this effect I stamped my trees with black ink on Smokey slate card stock and then used the craft whisper ink on a blending brush, whipping it over the card to create a blurring effect.  I used a cut out circle matte to and rubbed the blending brush on the edge to create a light sun glow.  Then I die cut the mountains trees, and I embossed the sentiment.  Toped the card off with embellishments.  Blog Hop Index

Today we are featuring the new Mini fall & winter catalog, is generally my favorite one we bring out and this year was no exception as they had my FAVOURIT wild animal in a stamp set. ORCA'S.  The whale watching set is stunning featuring 3 different orca's, some waves, land/rocks and clouds.  It is a stunning set. For this card I went with the northern lights. I cut out the circle with a new set the Deckled circle dies. The set of circles is huge featuring 14 dies the largest being   5-3/4 " Diameter I also toped it off the new Metallic Enamel Effects Basics Lacquer to create some faux stars.  I used watercolor paper and painters to create the norther lights and colored the ocean with blends.  Blog Hop Index

Kylie's International Project Highlights- September

Image
Todays thank you card is featuring the Grassy Grove set in a beautiful sunset scene.   For this card I used our watercolor paper and smudged ink colours on a block and then used the stampin spritzers with water to let the colours blend together. Peeling it off the block and letting it dry I then stamped in memento ink, I then heat embossed our sentiment on black card stock die cut out with stylish shapes dies. Then I added it to the layers of white and black.  You can vote for my card and see what others have made here
