🌿 Wishing You a Magical Day – Sketch Challenge Card

It’s the last Monday of the month, which means it’s time for another Crafty Challenge with my amazing crafty friends! πŸŽ‰

This time we’re working with a sketch, and let me tell you… this card was basically my DSP saying “excuse me… I exist… please use me!” πŸ˜‚ So I happily obliged!

I paired this beautiful scenic DSP with the Wishing Well and added some soft no-line colouring with pencil crayons. It gave everything that dreamy, storybook feel… like a quiet countryside wish just waiting to be made πŸ’›

Basic Steps:

1. Card Base
Cut cardstock to 4 ¼ x 11. Score at 5 ½ and fold in half to create your card base.

2. Background Layer
Cut your scenic DSP to 4 x 5 ¼ and adhere to the card base. This becomes your main focal background.

3. Layered Panels
Tear a strip of coordinating cardstock or DSP and adhere across the middle of the card to match the sketch layout.

4. Stamp & Colour
Stamp the wishing well using a light ink for no-line colouring. Colour using pencil crayons, building up soft layers for shading. Fussy cut the image.

5. Assemble Focal Point
Adhere the wishing well over the torn strip using dimensionals. Add a ribbon across the centre and tie a bow for texture.

6. Sentiment & Embellishments
Stamp your sentiment, trim, and adhere near the bottom of the well. Finish with a few gold embellishments (because we love a little sparkle ✨).

This card turned into such a peaceful little scene… like a tiny vacation on cardstock 🏑✨
It also reminded me that sometimes the supplies we’ve been “saving” just need a moment to shine (looking at you, neglected DSP stack πŸ‘€).

I can’t wait to see how everyone else interprets this sketch… that’s the magic of these challenges—same starting point, completely different creative adventures!

Happy crafting friends πŸ’›
