Stampin’ Dreams Challenge | In the Mood for Love 💕

For this Stampin’ Dreams Challenge, the theme In the Mood for Love had me reaching for soft florals, cozy colours, and one absolutely adorable bear. This card is sweet, a little whimsical, and full of warm fuzzy vibes. Basically… crafting comfort food 🐻💕

I kept the layout fairly simple so the colouring and focal image could shine, with just enough texture and sparkle to keep things interesting.

I also got to use a Christmas gift of water color glitter pain in metallic colours

Card Steps

Create your card base
Start with a standard card base in a Misty Moonlight cardstock. Cut a slightly smaller coordinating mat layer
Prepare your background
Take your smaller mat layer and place it on your paper trimmer. Score a border all the way around the cardstock. Line up two opposite corners on a diagonal and cut up to (but not past) the score line. Rotate the cardstock and repeat this step for the remaining corners, turning and cutting one side at a time until all corners are done.
Stamp and colour your images
Stamp the floral images and the bear onto Basic White cardstock using Memento Black Ink.
Colour using your favourite Blends, keeping the florals soft and romantic and the bear warm and cozy.
Die cut or fussy cut
Cut out your florals and bear image. Die cut a circle for your focal sentiment.
Assemble the focal point
Stamp the harts and xoxo's on your circle with misty moonlight then layer the bear onto the circle sentiment piece.
Build your layers
Adhere the florals behind the circle, tucking them in at the top and bottom for balance.
Finish with embellishments
Add a few gems or pearls for sparkle and dimension. Then I dotted around my new xmas gift of water color glitter paint.
