Technique Tuesday – Making Waves with Embossing Folders!

Hey crafty friends! It’s Technique Tuesday, and this week our hop is all about embossing folders — one of my absolute favorite ways to add instant texture and wow factor to a card!

For today’s project, I created an ombrรฉ ocean that’s perfect for my adorable manatees to float around in. Because let’s face it — who doesn’t love a couple of sea cows just saying “hello there”? ๐Ÿ‹

๐Ÿ‹ Basic Steps:

  1. Layer your cardstock – Create Card base and mat using basic White card stock then I used three colors, blending light to dark for an ombrรฉ water effect.

  2. Emboss it – Run your layered piece through your machine with the wave embossing folder to add that perfect splash of texture.

  3. Add your circle element – Die cut a circle and pop it up for depth.

  4. Stamp and cut your manatees – Because what’s an ocean without a few cute swimmers?

  5. Assemble and decorate – Add your sentiment, a few sequins, and ta-da! You’ve got a card that’s shore to make someone smile. ๐Ÿš

Embossing folders really do make a big splash — and they’re such a fun way to bring your cardstock to life!

Until next time, keep crafting and keep swimming in creativity! ๐ŸŒŠ
