Valentine Kisses & Gallery Blooms Swap Card 🐻💐💙

This weekend I got to attend an in-person crafting day with some amazing fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators, and it was honestly the best kind of day… crafting, chatting, laughing, and soaking up all that creative energy! 🎉

One of the highlights was participating in a Valentine’s Day swap, and I just love how this card turned out.

Now let’s be real… I’m not a red hearts lovey-dovey kind of person 🤣
So instead of going traditional Valentine, I went with BLUES because that is 100% me 💙

And honestly… I think this colour combo makes the card feel fresh, fun, and still totally Valentine-worthy without being overly mushy. 😄

Basic Steps to Make This Card

1. Create your card base
Start with a standard A2 card base in Misty moonlight

2. Add texture
Emboss the front panel using a textured embossing folder Adhere it to your card base.

3. Stamp & colour the focal image
Stamp the bear image and the flowers onto Basic White cardstock using Memento Black Ink. Colour with Stampin’ Blends.

4. Cut out your pieces
Die cut or fussy cut the bear and flowers and Die cut extra Greenery and a circle

5. Build your focal cluster
Stamp the bees hearts and xoxos on the circle adhere the bear to the circle then Layer the florals and leaves behind the bear to create a bold floral arrangement.
Pop up pieces with dimensionals for extra depth.

6. Add the sentiment
Stamp your “Happy Valentine’s Day” sentiment on a cardstock strip.
Tuck it across the focal point.

7. Finish with ribbon + final touches
Tie a soft neutral ribbon bow and attach it to the card front.
Add embellishments if desired, then admire your finished project 💌✨

Final Thoughts

Swaps are such a fun way to get inspired because everyone brings their own style to the theme. Plus, crafting in person with demos is always a blast… it’s basically a party with paper 😂💕

And if you’re like me and not into the whole “red hearts everywhere” thing… don’t be afraid to make Valentine cards in the colours that feel like YOU 💙

He doesn’t stamp, he doesn’t die cut… but he does supervise like he’s on payroll. 🧡🐾
