🍁 Global Design Project #519 – Autumn Love 🍂

This week’s Global Design Project theme is “Autumn Love”, and I have to say… I fell for this one hard! (Yep, pun absolutely intended. 😄)

For this card, I decided to keep things super simple and let the stunning Designer Series Paper do all the talking. Sometimes the best thing we can do as crafters is step back and let the paper shine—especially when it’s this pretty!

Basic Steps

1️⃣ Card Base:

Start with a Basic Beige cardstock base and mat. It gives that warm autumn feel that ties everything together.

2️⃣ Background Layer:

Cut two pieces of DSP—one larger and one smaller (about an inch in width).

Adhere them to your mat layer for a layered, textured background.

3️⃣ Feature Panel:

Pick your favorite fall-themed DSP pattern—think colorful leaves, acorns, and all those autumn vibes! Cut into a square, Mat it with a coordinating cardstock layer to make it pop.

4️⃣ Ribbon:

Wrap some ribbon around your mat layer with the DSP, then adhere your feature panel on top.

Attach the whole piece to your card base.

5️⃣ Sentiment:

Adhere your sentiment strip across the focal panel. I used “Consider yourself hugged”—because who doesn’t need a paper hug this time of year? 🧡

6️⃣ Sparkle:

Top it all off with a few sequins or gems for that perfect touch of autumn shimmer.

And there you have it—a quick and beautiful card that’s basically saying, “Autumn hugs incoming!”

Because sometimes the best cards aren’t the most complicated—they’re just made with a little love and a lot of pretty paper. 💚 🍂
