A Colourful Walk in the Park | Colour Combo Hop 🌼🦋

Hello, Crafty Friends! 🐾
Welcome to another fun hop! Today, we're playing with a beautiful colour combination, and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to give you a sneak peek at the NEW Parkside View Stamp Set, coming soon!
I love creating little scenes on my cards, and this set is right up my alley! Between the peaceful swans, stone bridge, trees, and flowers, there was plenty of opportunity to play with colour.
For this card, I used Blackberry Bliss, Golden Glow, and Pecan Pie, along with my Watercolor Pencils for the other colours to bring the scene to life.
I especially love how the Blackberry Bliss flowers in the foreground frame the scene, while the Golden Glow adds a lovely pop of sunshine! ☀️

How I Made My Card ✂️

  1. Started with a Blackberry Bliss cardstock base to frame my colourful scene.

  2. Stamped the beautiful park scene from the new Parkside View Stamp Set onto white cardstock.

  3. Used Golden Glow Blends to colour the trees and flowers throughout the scene.

  4. Coloured the stone bridge and tree trunks with Pecan Pie Blends with early espresso for the inside cement.

  5. Added Blackberry Bliss to the flowers in the foreground to create contrast.

  6. Used Watercolor Pencils Assortment 1 to add extra shading and details throughout the scene including crushed curry for the swains beeks.

  7. Added a few of the 2026–2028 In Color™ Butterflies for a little extra detail.

  8. Finished with the big Celebrate! greeting to make this a cheerful card for any special occasion.

One of my favourite things about cardmaking is seeing how different colours can completely change a scene.
I had so much fun colouring this one, especially mixing my Blends with Watercolor Pencils. Sometimes it's those little extra touches that really make a card come together.
And how adorable are those two swans enjoying their peaceful afternoon? 🦢
I'm excited to play with the new Parkside View Stamp Set some more. I can already imagine all sorts of different scenes and colour combinations!
