Product Hop: Online Exclusives 🐦

 Welcome to another Product Hop! This month we’re featuring Online Exclusives, and I couldn’t resist pulling out Under My Wing. I am absolutely loving this little bird! There’s just something so cheerful about him tucked among all those branches and bright leaves.

For my card, I kept the background soft and light so the colourful bird and branches could really take centre stage.

Steps

1. Create a card base using white cardstock.
2. Emboss a piece of white cardstock with the Textured Tree Ring 3D Embossing Folder and add to card base after adding twine.
3. Stamp the bird and branch images from Under My Wing.
4. Colour the bird using Azure Afternoon, Blueberry Bushel, Crisp Cantaloupe, Barely Blush, Stampin’ Blends.
5. Colour the leaves with Lemon Lime Twist and use the Bronze & Ivory  for the branches.
6. Cut out the coloured images and arrange the branches around the bird to create a layered scene.
7. Add Baker’s Twine around the lower portion of the card for a little extra texture.
8. Add the sentiment and finish with a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels for some sparkle. ✨

Final Thoughts

This bird definitely stole the show! 🐦 I love how the blues pop against those bright Lemon Lime Twist leaves, while the softer peachy shades on his chest warm everything up.

The embossed background, twine and rhinestones add plenty of detail without competing with the main image. It’s one of those cards where the colouring gets to do most of the talking, which is always fun!
