June Team Colour Challenge | Bright Flamingo Birthday Fun! 🦩🎉

Every month our team takes on a colour challenge, and June's combination was impossible not to smile at! With Azure Afternoon, Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral, and Melon Mambo, my mind immediately wandered to tropical beaches, sunny skies, and a flock of flamingos that clearly believes birthdays should come with a full musical performance.

The Zany Flamingos stamp set was the perfect choice. I coloured each flamingo using the challenge colours and arranged them so they look like they're singing a very enthusiastic version of Happy Birthday. The bright colour blocks behind the focal image help each colour shine while keeping the design clean and simple.

Sometimes a colour challenge pushes me outside my comfort zone, and that's one of the reasons I love participating. I probably wouldn't have reached for this combination on my own, but together they create a cheerful, summery card that's full of personality.

Basic Steps

Cut a Basic White card base and prepare mats in Azure Afternoon, Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral, and Melon Mambo.
Layer the colourful cardstock panels onto the card front, creating bold horizontal colour blocks.
Stamp the flamingos onto Basic White cardstock using black ink.
Colour the flamingos with Stampin' Blends (or your favourite colouring medium) using the challenge colours.
Stamp and add the birthday sentiment and speech bubbles, then mount the focal panel with dimensionals.
Finish with a few iridescent embellishments for a little sparkle.

Final Thoughts

I love how this card captures the fun of the June Team Colour Challenge. Bright colours, goofy flamingos, and a birthday song delivered with maximum enthusiasm... what more could you ask for? Sometimes the best cards are the ones that make you grin before you've even finished making them.
