Chasing the Sunset

Welcome back to another Product Hop challenge! This month we're featuring products from the second catalog of the year, and I couldn't wait to pull out the gorgeous Sunset Coast Dies. The beautiful sunset Designer Series Paper does all the hard work on this card, making it perfect when you want a quick and easy project that still has plenty of wow factor.

Basic Steps

Card Base

Create a standard card base using Azure afternoon cardstock. Add a mat layer the same cardstock

Background Layer

Cut DSP Layer 4x 5 1/4 the then cut them into 1/2 inch strips. Adhere them to mat layer staggering with glue then popping up with dimensionals

Die Cut Elements

Using the Sunset Coast Dies, cut the lighthouse, boats, and birds from Basic Black cardstock. These silhouette images add depth and bring the coastal scene to life. Adhere them to card.

Sentiment Layer

Stamp your birthday greeting onto Basic White cardstock using a Azure Afternoon. Trim and adhere to the card front using dimensionals for added interest.

Final Touches

Keep the layout simple to allow the beautiful sunset paper to remain the star of the show.

Final Thoughts

I love when a card comes together with just a few simple elements. The Sunset Coast Dies pair perfectly with this gorgeous Designer Series Paper, creating a peaceful coastal scene without a lot of extra work. It's a great reminder that sometimes the paper already tells the story, and all we need to do is add a few finishing touches.

Happy Crafting!
