It’s time for another round of our monochromatic hop and this week we’re featuring Crisp Cantaloupe

For this card I pulled out some soft leafy images, fluttery butterflies, and a fun sneak peek product from an upcoming release. I made this card during my Wednesday night class and the texture from the brand new TEXTURED TREE RING 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER adds so much cozy detail to the background.

Stamped Panel

Stamp leafy images across a Basic White panel using black ink. Colour the images using Crisp Cantaloupe tones for a soft monochromatic look.

Background Layer

Emboss your Crisp Cantaloupe card stock mat layer with the white card stock in the middle and at the same time using the TEXTURED TREE RING 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER for lots of soft texture and dimension.

Sentiment Layer

Stamp your sentiment onto a small square of Basic White cardstock using warm neutral ink. Adhere to the centre of the card front.

Butterfly Details

Stamp and colour the butterflies, then cut and pop them up around the card front using dimensionals for extra movement.

Final Touches

Finish with a few iridescent embellishments for sparkle and adhere everything to the embossed background. The mix of texture, soft colour, and fluttery butterflies makes this card feel elegant while still being fun and playful.

Final Thoughts

I had so much fun creating this Crisp Cantaloupe card for this week’s monochromatic hop. The soft colour, leafy details, fluttery butterflies, and that sneak peek TEXTURED TREE RING 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER all came together for such a warm and cozy look. It is always fun when one colour can still create so much texture and interest.
