Blackberry Bliss Monochromatic Magic πŸ’œ✨

This week’s monochromatic hop is all about Blackberry Bliss, and I decided to lean right into those rich, moody florals. Think cozy, dramatic, and just a little bit fancy… like your card showed up wearing velvet πŸ˜„

To give the flowers a little extra wow, I brought in my white watercolour pencil and added it around the outside of each bloom. It creates this soft glow effect that makes the centres pop forward—almost like each flower has its own spotlight moment 🌸✨

And can we talk about that texture?! The subtle shading paired with the deep tones gives this card so much depth while still keeping everything beautifully monochromatic.

Basic Steps:

  1. Card Base
Cut cardstock to 4 ¼ x 11. Score at 5 ½ and fold in half to create your card base.
  2. Background Layer
Create your floral background stamping your flowers on Blackberry Bliss. Add shading with a white watercolour pencil around the outside of each flower to make the centres stand out.
  3. Layered Panels
Mat your background with coordinating white cardstock and adhere to the card base.
  4. Stamp & Colour
Stamp your sentiment onto a circle layer and adhere to the front.
  5. Final Touches
Add ribbon across the centre and finish with a bow. Embellish with a few gold accents for a little sparkle.

This card is a great reminder that monochromatic doesn’t have to mean flat—just a little highlighting trick can bring everything to life. Give it a try and watch your flowers steal the show! πŸ’œ
