Magical Garden Scenes with New Online Exclusives

For this month’s New Online Exclusives insta hop, I couldn’t resist playing with the adorable new Wishing Well set! The moment I saw it, I pictured a cheerful little garden scene. I paired it with the beautiful Garden Poetry DSP, cutting the paper into panels to create a colourful patchwork background that feels like a blooming spring garden.

Each panel shows off a different pattern from the DSP, giving the card lots of texture and colour while keeping the layout clean and balanced. I love how the bright florals frame the wishing well scene. The sweet goose carrying flowers adds such a playful touch, and of course a few tiny butterflies fluttering around make the whole card feel a little extra magical.

The sentiment “wishing you a magical day” sits across the centre tying the whole design together. It almost feels like you’re peeking through garden windows into a cozy little scene by the well. This card was such a fun mix of colouring, pattern play, and a bit of simple scene building.

Basic Steps:

  1. Card Base
Cut black cardstock to 4 ¼ x 11. Score at 5 ½ and fold in half to create your card base.

  2. Background Layer
Cut several rectangles from Garden Poetry DSP and arrange them into a patchwork panel layout. Mat the panels with black cardstock and adhere them to the card front.

  3. Layered Panels
Stamp and colour the wishing well and goose image. Fussy cut the image and adhere it to the lower panel to create the focal scene.

  4. Sentiment
Stamp the sentiment on a strip of cardstock and adhere it across the centre of the card. Finish with a few tiny bees embellishments for a magical touch.

I had so much fun creating this cheerful little spring card for the challenge. The mix of colourful DSP panels and the sweet wishing well scene makes it feel bright, happy, and full of garden charm.
