Sketch Challenge… Better Late Than Never 🐾

Well… January came and went, and somehow this sketch challenge got completely skipped. Oops 😅But honestly, I’m a big believer that better late than never totally applies to crafting, so here we are!

For this card, I finally sat down to play along with the sketch and couldn’t resist pulling out a brand new stamp set called Cutest Crew. If you love animals (and especially cute cats and dogs), this one is going to steal your heart. The images are absolutely adorable and perfect for playful, cheerful cards.

I kept the design fun and bright, building my card with layered panels that follow the sketch layout and adding lots of paw-print details for texture and interest. The focal point is a large circle filled with the sweetest little cats and dogs popping in to say “Just a little HELLO.” I mean… how can you not smile at that?

This set will be available in March, so consider this a little sneak peek and a reminder to keep it on your wish list. Trust me, it’s one you’ll reach for again and again.

Basic Steps

Create a card base and add layered panels following the sketch layout.
Add interest to each layer using patterned paper or stamped designs.
Stamp the cats and dogs from Cutest Crew and colour them in using your favourite colouring medium.
Die cut a large circle for the focal point and arrange the animals around the sentiment.
Stamp the greeting in the centre and adhere the circle to the card front with dimensionals.
Finish with a few gems or embellishments for a little extra sparkle.
