Monochromatic Magic with Melon Mambo

Today I’m hopping along in our first Monochromatic Hop of the year, and we’re starting things off bright and bold with Melon Mambo. This colour definitely doesn’t whisper… it sings 🎶
I paired Feathered Friends with Petal Arrangements for a fun mix of soft florals and a cheerful little bird. Keeping everything in one colour family really lets the layers and textures do the talking, and a touch of gold adds just the right amount of shine.

Simple Card Steps

  1. Card Base
Start with a neutral card base and mat layer to help Melon Mambo really pop.

  2. Background Layer
On your Melon Mambo Cardstock stamp Petal Arrangement then colour in leaves with white pencil crayon

  3. Gold
Cut a strip of gold and adhere layers from 1&2 then adhere the melon mambo and add your gold strip across the top of the melon mambo. Go over the flowers with a gold pen.
  4. Focal Image
Stamp the bird from Feathered Friends and colour it using Melon Mambo tones and black pencil crayon to add shading. Cut it out

  5. Circle Element
Create a circle panel for the focal image and adhere the bird to it.

  6. Sentiment
Add a bold sentiment across the circle.

  7. Embellishments
Finish with butterflies embellishments and wink a stella.
