Monochromatic Hop Day | Featuring Peach Pie + DIY DSP with Joyful Squares

Welcome back to another colourful adventure, friends! Today’s Monochromatic Hop is dipped entirely in Peach Pie… and honestly, this card looks like it strutted out of a summer dessert buffet. 🍑✨

There was one tiny hiccup:
I had zero DSP in Peach Pie.
Nada. Zip. Not even a scrap lurking in the abyss of my craft drawers.

So I did what any determined crafter does when cornered by the DSP shortage monster: I made my own!
Enter the brand-new Joyful Squares stamp set, coming next month and ready to take your backgrounds from “hmm” to “HELLO, LOOK AT ME!”

With stamped patterns, layered pieces, a pretty frame, and a sweet sentiment, this Peach Pie card came together like a little fruity dream.

Basic Steps

Here’s how you can recreate this peachy masterpiece:

1️⃣ Start with your card base

I love and picked the classic white card stock.

2️⃣ Make your own DSP

Die cut the shapes out and Stamp patterns using the Joyful Squares set. Stamp and die cut a few of the leaves and the clip.

3️⃣ Build your layers

Tear the edges of 2 tone paper in peach pie for added texture.

4️⃣ Create the focal frame

Stamp and die-cut your decorative square frame from Joyful Squares, then add a circle sentiment in the center.
I used “You’re in my thoughts today” to keep things soft and heartfelt.

5️⃣ Add embellishments

Pop on a bow, a few dots, and any Peach Pie accents you love.

Final Thoughts

Peach Pie is such a cheerful colour, and creating custom DSP made the whole project even more fun. If you’ve ever found yourself scrambling for matching patterned paper, give this trick a try. It’s oddly liberating… like crafting rebellion, but prettier.
