Countdown to Christmas – 6 Weeks to Go! 🎄

Our Christmas Countdown continues, and can you believe there are only 6 weeks left until the big day? Today’s card features the Christmas Greenery set, and it turned out so fun and festive!

I wanted this design to mimic the look of a wrapped present, so I used patterned DSP for the background and added a pretty bow on top. Instead of sticking to the traditional Christmas palette, I went with some out-of-the-box colours (including touches of blue — my favourite 💙). I love how bright and cheerful it feels while still being perfect for the holidays.

Measurements (adjust as you like):

  • Card base: 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”

  • DSP layer: 4” x 5 ¼”

  • Sentiment strip: approx. ¾” x 3”

Steps:

  1. Prepare the base – Cut and score your card base. Adhere the card stock mat layer to the front.

  2. adhere DSP to left corner and strip beside it on angles so it looks like a gift wrapped

  3. Stamp & die cut – Stamp the greenery and floral images x2  in your chosen colours, then die cut them. I sliced one of the images in half to tuck it under the top layer to make it full.

  4. Assemble the bouquet – Arrange the greenery and flowers in a cluster at the centre of the card to form the "gift topper."

  5. Add the bow – Attach a ribbon or die-cut bow above the arrangement to make it look like a wrapped present.

  6. Sentiment – Stamp your holiday greeting onto a strip of cardstock and layer it across the bouquet.

  7. Finishing touches – Add embellishments like sequins or gems for a bit of sparkle.

This card is such a great reminder that you don’t have to stick to red and green for Christmas — try your favourite colours and make it your own!
