Sending Good Vibes with Summer Splash!
🫧 This week’s Monochromatic Hop is all about Summer Splash — and you know I couldn’t resist making a splash of my own with this cute manatee! 🩵
I wanted to capture those calm ocean feels, so I used greenery to mimic seaweed and added a few ink splashes for that underwater look. A little shimmer from Wink of Stella gives it a glimmer like sunlight dancing on the water — pure magic! ✨
💦 Basic Steps:
Base: Start with a Summer Splash cardstock base and layer it with coordinating DSP or a softly blended background.
Background: Use a leafy or organic stencil pattern to create that seaweed effect — blend in Summer Splash ink for tone-on-tone depth.
Circle Feature: Die-cut or punch a circle for your focal point and stamp the sentiment.
Manatee Magic: Stamp and fussy cut your manatee, then tuck in a few leafy bits for underwater greenery.
Finishing Touch: Add a wink (of Stella, that is!) and a few gems for some bubble sparkle.
And just like that, you’ve got a sea-riously cute card ready to send out good vibes all around! 🐋💙
