Mono Hop Garden Green
🌳 Monochromatic Hop – Garden Green Magic!
It’s Monochromatic Hop time again, and this week’s color is Garden Green! 💚 You know I can’t resist a good leafy theme, so I pulled out my Botanical Textures 12” x 12” DSP (which is currently in the Last Chance section—don’t walk, run!).
This card turned out to be a real “tree-t” — full of lush layers, cute critters, and a little message of hope: better days ahead. 🌿
🍂 How To Make It
Prep Your Base
Start with a standard white card base. Layer a piece of Garden Green cardstock on top for that lovely framed look.
Create the Background
Grab your Botanical Textures DSP and give it a soft, leafy glow using your blending brush and Garden Green ink. Once that’s dry, go in with your green watercolor pencil to add extra texture and shading—like a mini forest coming to life! 🌲
Build Your Tree
Die-cut your big beautiful tree from brown and green cardstock, then layer them up. Don’t forget to tuck in a couple of little deer for that fairytale forest vibe. 🦌
Add Your Sentiment
Adhere your sentiment using a few dimensionals for a little lift.
Finishing Touches
Add a sprinkle of embellishments or splatter of ink if you’re feeling wild — then sit back and admire your masterpiece!
This one’s full of happy green energy — and a perfect reminder that no matter the season, there are always better days ahead. 💚
