Happy World Card Making Day!

Happy World Card Making Day! πŸŽ‰ It's October 4th and we're kicking things off with a super fun Video Hop with my Crafty Collaborations team!

I decided to showcase the beauty of using a layout or sketch as a starting point. I shared my favorite one—it's absolutely perfect for those times when you:

Have crafty block 🀯
Are short on time ⏰
Feel overwhelmed by choices

Sketches are great for a simple foundation that you can then easily dress up to make it as fancy as you like!

The Simple Formula for Success:
The Foundation: Start with a card base (ours is a standard A2 size)

The Rule of Three (DSP): Cut three coordinating pieces of DSP. To create visual interest, vary the patterns and orientations!

Lay the first piece (the largest) horizontally across the top section.

Place a second, vertical piece along the side.

Finally, add the third piece (the smallest) to anchor your main image—this is a great spot for a more subtle pattern. Tip: Mat each DSP piece with a thin border of coordinating cardstock for that extra touch of polish!

The Focal Point: Stamp, color, and die-cut a beautiful image. Pop it up on Stampin' Dimensionals right over the intersection of your DSP pieces. This draws the eye straight to the center.

Finishing Touches: Add your sentiment, ribbon/ bow. and don't forget the sparkle! A few carefully placed embellishments add that final touch of light and luxury.

I mated my 3 DSPs with Misty moonlight
The Focal Point: Stamp the stunning Protea flower

Finishing Touches: Added sentiment—a simple "Love You Forever" is perfect—and tie it off with an elegant white ribbon bow. And toped it off with embellishments.
