Colour INKspiration Challenge #197 — Winter Blues Never Looked So Good!

This week’s Colour INKspiration Challenge #197 had me grinning ear to ear because the colour combo is Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight, and Crumb Cake! 💙 You all know I’m a total sucker for anything blue — if it’s in the blue family, it’s basically guaranteed to end up on my craft table!

For this card, I mixed and matched the Scenic Adventure Dies with the Winter Scenes stamp set to create… well, a scene! (Shocking, I know 😄). It’s a cozy winter landscape complete with a little cabin, snowy peaks, and even a peaceful deer who clearly didn’t get the memo about hot cocoa breaks.

Basic Instructions

  1. Base & Layers:
Start with a Basic White card base, then add a Night of Navy and Crumb Cake layer for that perfect frosty balance.

  2. Build Your Scene:
Stamp the images from Winter Scenes. Then use the Scenic Adventure dies to layer those lovely mountains in Misty Moonlight.

  3. Add Details:
I added a little Crumb Cake for the cabin and trees and a little on the mountains. Night of Navy for for the river and add little balmy blue on some spots for snow shading go over it with color lifter blending brush. Then snowy areas got a sparkle treatment (because glitter is basically winter magic in a jar ✨).

  4. Finishing Touches:
A bit of ribbon tied in a bow and a snowy dots with a white gel pen to complete the look — classy and cozy!

I absolutely loved how this combo turned out. It’s crisp, calm, and just a touch whimsical — kinda like winter itself (minus the shoveling part 😉).

Until next time, keep crafting, keep cozy, and may your die-cuts always be straight!
