Christmas Countdown – 8 Weeks to Go!

The countdown continues — only 8 weeks until Christmas! Can you believe how quickly it’s coming? Today’s project is a beautiful and elegant card created with the Modern Christmas set.

I decided to keep things chic and simple with a black and white color palette, then added just a touch of gold to make those Christmas baubles shine. The result is both modern and festive, perfect for sending holiday cheer in style.

Card Instructions

Steps

Card Base – Start with a standard card base in Basic White (8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”).
Background Layer – Cut a black mat smaller then card base and then cut DSP adhere them all together to the card front.
Center Panel – Add a smaller piece of coordinating DSP with Basic Black cardstock layered w
Ornament – Die cut an ornament shape from DSP and a circle from vellum adhere them to card.
Sentiment – Stamp “Merry Christmas” from the Modern Christmas set on Basic White, then fussy cut and adhere it across the ornament.
Finishing Touch – Tie a small bow with black twine and attach it to the ornament top. Pop everything up with dimensionals for depth.
