You Aren’t Alone – Global Design Project #516
This week’s Global Design Project challenge was all about CASE-ing the designers, so I pulled out my Textured Notes set and went to work. Of course, my two cats decided they needed to “supervise” but somehow this card still came together! 🐾✂️
This card is also extra special—it’s made in honor of Truth and Reconciliation Day. Crafting gives us a space to reflect, and I wanted this project to share a simple, heartfelt message: You aren’t alone. 🧡

🖌️ Basic Instructions
-
Card Base – Cut Basic White cardstock to 5 ½” x 8 ½”. Score at 4 ¼” and fold.
-
Layer It Up – Cut a Pumpkin Pie layer (5 ¼” x 4”) and adhere to the front.
-
Panel Pieces – Using blending brushes blend pumpkin pie on a white piece around 5” x 3 ¾” , then cut into four equal rectangles. Adhere them onto white card stock mat.
-
Centerpiece – Stamp the woven-texture image in Crumb Cake, fussy cut out then add your sentiment across the middle.
-
Add Texture – Wrap some linen thread behind the circle before adhering it with dimensionals.
-
Finishing Touches – top of with embellishments.
Final Thoughts
Even on days when words are hard (trust me, they were 😂), crafting is a reminder that we can still share joy, reflection, and connection through creativity. Plus—bonus points if you can make it through without your cat stealing the linen thread spool.
