Non-Traditional Christmas with Highland Heather – Monochromatic Hop

Hi crafty friends!
Welcome back to another Monochromatic Hop, and this time we're featuring the beautiful Highland Heather! πŸ’œ

For this hop, I decided to go a little off the traditional holiday path and created a non-traditional Christmas card using the adorable elf from the Festive Friends stamp set. Who says Christmas can’t be purple, right?

 Basic Instructions

  1. Card Base: Start with a standard A2 card base in white or Highland Heather.

  2. Background: Add a piece of Highland Heather patterned paper or custom-inked background to the front panel.

  3. Gold Accents: Use gold foil paper to add a pop of shine—great for layering or die-cut accents.

  4. Elf Image: Stamp the elf from Festive Friends, color it using Stampin’ Blends or your favorite markers, and die-cut or fussy cut.

  5. Layering: Create a focal point using a stitched circle die and add some die-cut leaves or trees behind the elf for dimension.

  6. Sentiment: Stamp your sentiment (“We Wish You a Merry Christmas”) onto a strip and pop it up with dimensionals.

  7. Finishing Touches: Add a ribbon bow, a few gems or sequins, and your card is ready to go!

This card is the perfect example of how you can stretch your supplies and creativity—especially for seasonal cards. You don’t have to stick to red and green for Christmas. Let your favorite colors shine!
