Crafty Challenge – Darling Dinos

It’s crafty challenge time again! 🎉 This month’s challenge is a color inspiration featuring:

Balmy Blue
Basic Beige
Summer Splash
Pretty Pink

I had so much fun mixing two stamp sets together for this card — the adorable Darling Dinos and the background-friendly Scenic Adventure. The soft mountains and trees make the perfect setting for these cheerful dinos!

Basic Instructions

Card Base
- Start with a Basic Beige card base (8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”).
- Add a slightly smaller white cardstock panel for a framed layer.
Background
- On another Basic Beige panel, emboss or stamp the mountain and tree scene from Scenic Adventure.
- Lightly blend a bit of ink (I used basic beige which deffently has green in it) to bring depth to the scene.
Dinos
- Stamp your dinos from the Darling Dinos set.
- Color them using the challenge colors:
  - Balmy Blue & Summer Splash for the blue dinos
  - Pretty Pink for the tall dino
- Die-cut or fussy cut them out and pop them up with dimensionals.
Sentiment
- Stamp a simple sentiment such as “Just a Note” on white cardstock and trim with a stitched rectangle die or scissors.
- Attach it to the upper corner of your card.
Finishing Touches
- Add a few subtle embellishments (like enamel dots or sequins) to complete the look.
