Autumn Trees – Coast to Coast Team Challenge
For today’s project, I joined in on the Coast to Coast Team Challenge, which was all about Autumn Trees. I had so much fun with this one! If you saw my Northern Lights card yesterday, you’ll notice I used a similar layout—but this time, I went with bold, colorful trees that remind me of fall walks, crunching leaves, and laying on a blanket to watch the clouds drift by.
Creating this card is such a wonderful way to capture those cozy fall feelings!
Basic Steps to Create This Card
1. Card Base
Start with your standard card base (8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”).
2.Trees
Cut a piece of Basic white cardstock to 5 ½” x 4 ¼”.
Stamp the tree images from Autumn Trees with the leaves pointing toward the center, but leave space to see the sky
Colour the trees in different fall colours
Cut out the trees, keeping them in order as you cut for easier placement later.
3. Background
Take a piece of the Every day sky's DSP cut to 5 ½” x 4 ¼”.
Adhere the trees onto the DSP using dimensionals.
Trim any excess/over hang if needed.
Adhere the finished DSP layer to your card base.
4. Sentiment
Adhere your sentiment
5. Finishing Touches
Add a few small details like butterflies, leaves, or embellishments for extra texture.
Crafting really is a way to bring those cozy seasonal vibes right onto paper.
