Stampin Up! Challenge July.

It’s time for our monthly Stampin’ Up!® Creative Challenge! This month’s theme is Mash Ups — and I’m pretty sure this challenge was made just for me! πŸ˜„ I love mixing and matching stamp sets to create fun and whimsical scenes like this one.

For this cheerful Garden birthday party card, I paired the adorable animals from Hugs & Healing with Darling Dinos, layering it all over vibrant textures and lush foliage. I love how playful and full of life it turned out! 🐢🎈🐱🌿

🎨 Stampin’ Up!® Creative Challenge – Mash Up Card

Featuring: Hugs & Healing + Darling Dinos

Helpful tips:

  1. Base & Layers

    • Start with a standard A2 card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4") in Basic White.

    • Choose two coordinating pieces of DSP with natural or botanical patterns. Cut to layer:

      • Tow layers of DSP one half the layer then one strip

      • Cut one out with Stylish shapes dies square and cut one white square out

  2. Stamp & Color Images

    • Stamp  the balloons and Hats from Darling Dinos onto white cardstock using Memento Black ink.

    • then stamp the dog and cat from Hugs & Healing, but try not to ink up the thermometer and ice bag on the dog. (its ok if you do but better if you dont)

    • Color using Stampin’ Blends (or your favorite coloring tools):

    • Take your black Stampin Write marker and add a line going up on the dogs moth so hes smiling.

    • Fussy cut or die-cut the images and Greenery from DSP. When cutting out the dog cut the close to the where the thermometer is and the ice bag on the house so there not there.

  3. Create the Scene

    • Arrange the animals at the bottom of the stitched panel.

    • Tuck the balloons behind and above them.

    • Add extra leaves, butterflies, to fill in the scene trying to cover most of the cats arm sling and a little slit around the bottom of the cats paw so it can peek threw the greenery.

    • Adhere with glue and dimensionals for layered depth.

    • Add you twine from the cat paw to the bottom Balloon

  4. Add Sentiment

    • Adhere your sentiment

  5. Final Touches

    • Add any additional embellishments like enamel dots or sparkles.

    • Mount the finished layered panel to your card base.

πŸŽ‰ And just like that — you’ve got a fun, festive mash-up birthday card ready to brighten any animal lovers day!
