Colouring theme Blog

Grab a cup of a tea and enjoy our Blog Hop with Crafty Collaboration team. Our team is made up of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world who love sharing there creations.

Todays theme for our technique blog is Colouring.
Which is my favorite thing to do in our crafting world, and our amazing tools make it so much fun.

For this card I used 2 sets to create a scene. I used the Coffee with Friends sets enjoying some tea or coffee  on a porch while looking at a deer in the snow. However our gals in the stamp are wherein tanks and capris so we need to dress them a little warmer as when I where capris and flip flops in the snow everyone mocks me.

We did strip socks on the lady with the left as she's had the most legs showing and normal socks on the the lady with the right. Then we extend there tops using a normal pencil 1st draw some light lines on the 2 arms hands holding there cups to give you a guide line, of a longer top, Picking darker colour blends for there tops.

The technique were doing is using our water colour pencils over top of the blends. This helps create shadows, depth and textures.
I started with black water colour, I went over creating some thicker line to create "creases" and shadows of a sweater. This also helps to distract from the lines of the tank tops that were stamped if they show threw.
I also went over the blends with other colour pencils using Crushed curry in the lady's hair to create highlights. Early expresso on the bench and early espresso and old olive on the plants basket. And black on the bird house.
Extra tip when adding your shadows always pick one side to shadow threw all your pieces.

hop on to see more cards and projects.
Happy Stamping
