Berry Burst Botanical Birthday

For this month's team meeting card, I wanted to put Berry Burst front and centre. This vibrant colour has a way of instantly grabbing your attention, and when paired with the rich greens and florals from the Fern & Flora collection, it creates a striking contrast that feels both bold and elegant.

This design is a wonderful example of how a strong focal colour can guide the entire card. Every layer was chosen to help highlight and support those beautiful Berry Burst accents.

The first thing your eye notices is the vibrant Berry Burst framing. From the layered mats to the patterned background panel, the colour creates a bright foundation that immediately draws attention.

To balance that bold colour, I paired it with darker botanical papers filled with lush greenery and delicate flowers. The contrast allows the Berry Burst elements to shine even brighter while adding depth and richness to the overall design.

The layered fern and butterfly die cuts help create movement across the card front. By extending beyond the edges of the focal panel, they soften the rectangular layers and make the design feel more organic. The loops of twine tucked behind the sentiment add texture and help tie all the layers together without competing with the colour palette.

The result is a card that feels layered and detailed while still letting Berry Burst remain the star attraction.

One of my favourite things about colour-focused cards is seeing how a single colour can completely transform a design. Berry Burst brings energy, warmth, and a touch of playfulness to this card while still feeling sophisticated.

It's a reminder that sometimes all a card needs is a beautiful focal colour, a few carefully chosen layers, and a little creative confidence. And if Berry Burst keeps looking this good, it may end up making more appearances in my craft room very soon! 💗🦋🌿
