London Fog & Florals

Today’s card was inspired by a cozy afternoon tea photo… but with a crafty little twist ☕🌸 Instead of fancy teacups, I went with takeout cups because let’s be honest, most of us are crafting with a drink balanced somewhere between the paper trimmer and the embellishment tray 😂

The soft florals and pastel patterns gave this card such a fresh spring feel while still keeping those warm “coffee shop on a rainy afternoon” vibes. And naturally, those cups are filled with London Fog tea because apparently I craft best with bergamot-powered creativity.

Basic Steps

Background Layer

Start with a Basic White card base and a smaller mate layer add 3 strips of patterned DSP down the left side. I mixed a soft floral print with a yellow gingham pattern to create that fun modern layered look.

Layered Panels

Add a stitched circle layer slightly off-centre to help frame the focal point.

Stamp & Colour

Stamp the coffee cups in early espresso on DSP then colour in with water colour pencils Fussy cut floral images from DSP Arrange the flowers around the cups to soften the modern coffee-shop feel and turn it into a cozy tea-inspired bouquet.

Sentiment

Add the “hey thanks” sentiment across the centre of the card, overlapping the cups slightly to tie the whole design together.

Final Touches

Finish with a few embellishments for sparkle and extra texture. Keep the layout slightly layered and organic so it feels relaxed and playful… kind of like crafting while your tea gets cold beside you ☕🐱

Final Thoughts

I love how this card mixes cozy café vibes with soft florals and spring colours. It feels modern, cheerful, and just a little bit fancy without taking itself too seriously. Honestly, if cards could smell, this one would absolutely smell like Earl Grey and cardstock glue 😂
