Coast to Coast Team Hop – 2026–2028 In Colors 🚗☀️

It’s time for another Coast to Coast Team hop and this month we’re taking the brand new 2026–2028 In Colors out for a little spin 🏁

The second I saw these colours I wanted something bright, fun, and full of movement, so I grabbed the Ready Set Go set and created a “nice day for a ride” scene. Between the race car, fluffy clouds, and sunset backdrop, this card feels like summer road trip energy in cardstock form 😂

I kept the layout fairly clean so the new colours could really shine while still adding lots of layers and dimension

Background Layer

Start with a Basic White card base and mat another layer of Basic White with one of the new darker In Colors for a bold frame around the card.

Die cut the large sunset shape from soft peach cardstock using the Sunset Coast dies and adhere it to the centre of the card front.

Sky Elements

Die cut or create soft cloud layers using two coordinating blue tones from the new In Colors. Layer the clouds slightly overlapping the sunset to create a fun sky scene.

Stamp & Colour

Stamp the race car image in Memento Black Ink and colour it using Stampin’ Blends. I went with a rich green tone for the car to give it that sporty race-day look.

Add a little extra shading around the wheels and underneath the car for depth and movement.

Sentiment Cluster

Stamp the birthday sentiment and checkered flags, then layer them onto a stitched circle die cut. Pop the sentiment up with dimensionals so it stands out against the sunset background.

Final Touches

Add everything to the card front using a mix of adhesive and dimensionals for extra depth. Keep embellishments minimal so the bold colours and fun racing theme stay front and centre.

This card was such a fun way to break in the new In Colors. Honestly, it gives “sunny afternoon drive with snacks in the passenger seat and questionable singing choices” energy and I’m here for it 😂

Final Thoughts

This card was such a fun way to take the new 2026–2028 In Colors out for a test drive 🏁 The bright skies, sunset backdrop, and speedy little race car made this feel cheerful and full of energy without getting too complicated.

I love how fresh these new colours feel together and I can already tell they’re going to end up all over my craft desk for the next two years 😂 Sometimes you just need a card that feels like sunshine, good music, and a full tank of crafty inspiration.
