Monochromatic Magic with Gray Granite 🐘🀍

It’s time for another round of monochromatic fun and this week we are featuring Gray Granite! The second this colour came up, my brain instantly shouted ELEPHANTS!… and clearly I listened πŸ˜‚

I had just received this adorable new set (coming next month πŸ‘€) and knew it would be perfect. Gray Granite really shines here with soft layers, subtle textures, and a calm, cozy vibe that lets those sweet elephants steal the show.

This card also gave me a chance to play with strips and patterns… and let’s just say it felt a little like crafting a cozy quilt… but make it elephant-approved 🐘

Basic Steps:

  1. Card Base
Cut cardstock to 4 ¼ x 11. Score at 5 ½ and fold in half to create your card base
  2. Background Layer
Add a layer of cardstock mat in same card base colour and white slight smaller
  3. Layered Panels
On some gray granite stamp some feet, Cut multiple strips of coordinating DSP and cardstock in varying widths. Adhere them diagonally across the white card stock, mixing patterns for interest while staying in the same colour family. Cut the over hanging off
  4. Stamp & Colour
Stamp the elephant images and colour using Stampin’ Blends in Gray Granite tones (light, medium, dark). Cut and adhere to the bottom corner of the card with some rocks.
  5. Final Touches
Add your sentiment, then layer everything onto a coordinating mat. Optional: add subtle texture or dimension with embossing or dimensionals.

I love how calming this card feels while still having lots of detail. Sometimes sticking to one colour is like letting that colour tell the whole story… and Gray Granite told a pretty cute one πŸ˜πŸ’«
