Granny Apple Green Monochromatic Magic 💚🍏

It’s time for another round of monochromatic fun, and this week we are all about Granny Apple Green! This colour always feels like a burst of fresh air… like your cardstock just went for a walk in a sunny garden 🌿

For this card, I pulled together a few fun elements during my Wednesday craft group, mixing bold layers with soft florals and a crisp black contrast to really let that green shine. It’s one of those designs that looks fancy but comes together like a dream (we love that for us 😄).

Basic Steps:

  1. Card Base
Cut cardstock to 4 ¼ x 11. Score at 5 ½ and fold in half to create your card base. Add a black mate layer smaller then your Card Base.
  2. Background Layer
Stamp a full floral background using Granny Apple Green ink. Add light and dark shading with water color pencils to give depth and bring those blooms to life.
  3. Layered Panels
Stamp the frame from Joyful Squares then Cut the square panel with the circle die in the center and mat it with black cardstock for contrast. Also Die cut out the Clip
  4. Stamp & Colour
Ink a spot on your Flowers Fair Stamp with Black then put the circle on the stamp use a block to transfer ink evenly. Adhere your Square panels with the circle in the center. Add a sentiment strip across the centre.
  5. Final Touches
Adhere the clip at the top with a ribbon bow, then finish with a few embellishments for sparkle and texture.

Final Thoughts

Monochromatic cards are like a good cup of tea… simple, comforting, and somehow always just right ☕💚 Playing with different shades and textures really makes one colour do all the heavy lifting. And let’s be honest, Granny Apple Green understood the assignment here!

Don’t forget to hop along and see what everyone else created—you’re going to see this colour in ways you never expected!

And extra note Check out the last chance list as a few of the goodies I used are on the list.
