Technique Tuesday: Blending Brush Magic

Today’s card is all about one of my favourite techniques: ink blending with blending brushes. There’s something so satisfying about watching those colours melt together into a bold, glowing sky. Once I had that sunset vibe happening, it felt only right to pair it with some silhouette images for a peaceful outdoor scene. The wolf practically wandered onto the card on its own!

⭐ Basic Steps

  1. Blend your background using your blending brushes. Start with your lightest colour and work into the darker shades for a smooth transition.

  2. Stamp your silhouettes along the bottom of the panel. Animals, trees, grasses, anything that creates that outdoor adventure feel.

  3. Add your sentiment on a die-cut circle and pop it up for dimension.

  4. Finish with twine or embellishments to frame the scene and bring the whole card together.

A simple technique, but such a showstopper every time. Happy brushing!
