Monochromatic Hop | Berry Burst

It’s our last Monochromatic Hop of the year, and we’re finishing strong with Berry Burst. This bold pink is one of those colours that can be fun, sweet, and dramatic all at the same time, making it perfect for a monochromatic challenge.

For my card, I leaned into all the Berry Burst goodness by mixing different tones and textures while keeping the layout simple and playful. Of course, I couldn’t resist adding the adorable bears because they pair perfectly with this colour and bring in all the cozy, hug-worthy vibes.

Layering patterned paper, inked backgrounds, and stamped images is one of my favourite ways to make a single colour feel interesting without overwhelming the design. A simple sentiment finishes it off and keeps the focus on the cute focal images.

Basic Steps

  1. Create a card base using Berry Burst cardstock.

  2. Add a patterned paper layer to the card front, trimming slightly smaller than the base layer it on angle.

  3. Cut a Berry Burst cardstock panel and Stamp subtle background images & text in Berry Burst ink.

  4. Then take a rectangle piece of whispers texture paper and use blending brush to get some Berry Burst colour on. Adhere to the card

  5. Stamp the bear images on Basic White cardstock and colour them & Fussy cut or die cut the images.

  6. Adhere the focal images to the card front using dimensionals.

  7. Stamp the sentiment on Basic White, trim, and add to the card front.

  8. Finish with embellishments for extra texture and shine.

Simple, sweet, and full of Berry Burst charm. Be sure to hop along and check out everyone’s Berry Burst creations. It’s always amazing to see how much variety can come from just one colour. Thanks for hopping with us and crafting along as we wrap up the year. 🐻💗 Happy crafting!
