Our Christmas Countdown Week 5 — Santa’s Coming to Town (in Blue!)

πŸ’™ Week 5 of Our Christmas Countdown — Santa’s Coming to Town (in Blue!) πŸ’™

Ho ho BLUE! πŸ˜†πŸŽ…
We’re rolling into Week 5 of our Christmas Countdown, and this week’s project is giving full frosty-fun, winter-magic vibes. And honestly… are we even surprised I had so much fun making it? It’s BLUE. My favourite colour.

This adorable little Santa decided to ditch the classic red suit and join Team Blue, and I am here for it. Paired with icy patterns, sparkly textures, and ribbon that basically screams “frosty fabulous,” this card is ready to sleigh the season. πŸ˜‰

✂️ Basic Instructions

1️⃣ Start with your card base
Use a Misty moonlight cardstock to create that rich winter backdrop base and a mat layer.

2️⃣ Add your background layers
Cut a layer of DSP —think snowflakes, winter foliage, and glittery textures. Then take 2 rectangle of silent snowfall DSP, place a block in misty inkpad then dip with wink a stella  use it to paint the snow flakes on one rectangle then the other use it to paint in between the snowflakes. Add a mat layer of Misty moonlight and adhere them on top of each other for depth and interest.

3️⃣ Stamp and colour Santa
Stamp your cute Santa image, then colour him in all your favourite blues. Give him a little shading love to make him pop! (I had so much fun colouring him in another amazing and fun class with Jay from mitosu crafts)

4️⃣ Add ribbon magic
Wrap a sparkly blue ribbon vertically around your layered panel and tie a cute bow toward the bottom.

5️⃣ Assemble it all
Add a torn white card stock to the ground then adhere Santa front and centre

6️⃣ Attach your sentiment
Stamp “Santa’s Coming to Town” (or your fave festive phrase) and add it with dimensionals for a little lift. Admire your blue-tiful creation.

Thanks for crafting along with me this week! Stay tuned—more festive fun is coming as our countdown continues!
