Feathered Fun Colour Challenge

Today’s card was created for a colour challenge with my friends over on Creativity for Everyone! The colours for this challenge are Lost Lagoon, Pumpkin Pie, and Pretty Peacock — such a fun and vibrant combo.

I paired the Floral Charm Designer Series Paper (DSP) with the adorable Feathered Fun stamp set. I love how these colours work together — bold, cheerful, and perfect for showing off those sweet little parrots.

Basic Instructions

Steps:

Card Base – Start with a standard card base in Basic White (8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”).
Layers – Cut a Pumpkin Pie layer at 4” x 5 ¼”. Adhere to the card front.
DSP Panels – Cut a piece of Floral Charm DSP to 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”. From this panel, cut a diagonal line from the bottom right corner toward the center, and another from the top right corner toward the center. Gently fold both cut corners back to reveal the pattern underneath and adhere in place.
Circle Element – Die cut a circle from Basic White. Stamp and colour the parrots from the Feathered Fun set, then fussy cut and adhere them onto the circle.
Sentiment – Adhere your sentiment (I chose Paper Hug) and layer it partly over the circle.
Finishing Touches – Add a few gems or sequins for sparkle.
