Weekly Monochromatic Challenge – Cajun Craze
Basic Steps to Create This Card:
-
Card Base
-
Cut your Cajun Craze cardstock to 8 ½" x 5 ½".
-
Score at 4 ¼" and fold in half.
-
-
Background Layer
-
Cut a piece of white cardstock slightly smaller (5 ¼" x 4").
-
Layer on top with a piece of the Cajun Craze DSP cut just a bit smaller (5" x 3 ¾").
-
-
DSP Angles
-
For a fun detail, cut your DSP diagonally into four sections and adhere to the white layer to create the angled look.
-
-
Centerpiece
-
Die-cut a stitched circle in white.
-
Stamp the tree and color it in Cajun Craze tones.
-
Add the deer image in front for a woodland feel.
-
-
Sentiment
-
Stamp the greeting “There are not enough words to say how thankful I am” on a strip of white cardstock.
-
Layer it across the circle with dimensionals.
-
-
Finishing Touches
-
Add a few embellishments (like enamel dots) for extra detail.
-
Adhere the finished layers onto your Cajun Craze card base.
-
I love how the Cajun Craze monochromatic palette really highlights the autumn theme—it’s cozy, warm, and perfect for the season. ๐
