Choose Happy Collage Card
Choose Happy Collage Card
This week I had so much fun creating with my Coast to Coast team! For our challenge, I combined two collage inspiration pictures into one card design. I used torn paper for added texture, plus a sweet little boat sailing at sunrise (or sunset—depending if you’re a morning or night person!).
The bright yellows and turquoise give such a cheerful vibe, and I love how the mix of squares and torn edges make the card pop.
Basic Instructions
Steps:
-
Start with a card base and layer of Coastal Cabana
-
Cut 5 white squares (approx. 2” x 2”) and mat each with Daffodil Delight squares slightly larger.
-
Stamp alternating sun and sailboat images onto the white squares. Color as desired.
-
Arrange squares onto the card front in a collage layout—tilt one for extra interest.
-
Tear a strip of Coastal Cabana cardstock and layer under a white sentiment strip. Stamp your sentiment (“Life Love Joy”) and adhere.
-
Add sequins or gems for sparkle.
-
Finish with a cheerful reminder—Choose Happy! ๐
This project is a perfect example of how simple images and layering can create a bright, happy design. Would you try this card as a sunrise version or a sunset version?
