A Walk to the Lake Through the Seasons

I had so much fun creating this card for my team meeting a while ago! With the seasons starting to change, I wanted to make something that felt like a little scenic journey. This card takes you on a walk to the lake—no matter the time of year. You’ll stroll past the fresh blossoms of spring, the lush greens of summer, the fiery leaves of autumn, and finally arrive at a peaceful pier.
Basic steps:
1.Cut Your Card Base 5½" x 11" Score your 4¼" and at 2 3/8"
2.Cut Layers 2–4
3.Attach all 3 DSP layers to the front panels of the card base.
4.Stamp the pier image near the bottom of Layer 3, leaving space above for writing or additional design elements.
5.Stamp 3 trees onto Layers 5. Colour the trees and pier with blends using the dotting technique (see my colours below) fussy cut the coloured trees.
6.Adhere the fussy-cut trees onto circle die-cuts layer 4 and then adhere 1 of them to each Pannel
7.Adhere Layer 3 to the right-side flap of your scored card base.
8.Stamp and attach your sentiment, then finish with embellishments of your choice.
