Sunshine Dinos – A Crafty Challenge Creation!
Hello and welcome, crafty friends!
It’s the last Monday of the month, which means it’s time for another fun challenge with my #craftycollaborations team! This month's project was all about rolling the dice๐ฒ literally!
Well...Turns out I accidentally posted two different dice rolls ๐คฆ♀️so our team may have ended up working with different challenges this time around. But hey more variety means more inspiration right? I used Challenge #1 as that was supposed to be the one we use.
Challenge #1
๐ฒ Use a Punch or Die Cuts
๐ฒ Add Bling
๐ฒ Include a Congrats sentiment
๐ฒ Keep it Horizontal
๐ฒ Use the Regals color family
Challenge #2
๐ฒ Use Sponging
๐ฒ Add Pearl
๐ฒ Include a Thank you sentiment
๐ฒ Keep it Horizontal
๐ฒ Use the Regals color family
I decided to bring the sunshine and smiles with this playful dino card using the Darling Dinos stamp set paired with bold backgrounds and bright accents. Let’s take a closer look at how it came together!
Basic Instructions
1. Prepare your card base
Cut and fold a standard A2 card base (4 ¼” x 5 ½”). I layered it with pretty peacock cardstock.
2. Create the background
Using the dots from the sunshine vibes stamp one part Blueberry, garden Green, crushed curry then going over them with blending brush's using the same colours..
3. Die cut your focal panel
Cut a large panel at an angle to layer on top of your background. This gives space for your stamped scene while adding fun movement. Also stamp the grass along the bottom and the sun in the corner.
4. Stamp and color your dinos
Use the Darling Dinos stamp set to stamp your favorite dino trio. I used blends or markers in shades of green, blue, and teal—perfect Regal tones! Fussy cut or die cut them if you like extra dimension.
5. Add the “Congrats”
Use a die-cut or stamped “Congrats” sentiment. I positioned mine front and center to meet the challenge theme and bring the card together.
6. Embellish with bling
Finish it off with embellishments and lots of wink a stella
7. Assemble everything
Layer it all together with dimensionals and strong adhesive. Be playful with angles and positioning—this card is all about fun!
