Blueberry Bushel Blooms & a Splash of Sparkle πŸ’™✨

It’s Monochromatic Hop time and this week we are soaking everything in the rich, bold beauty of Blueberry Bushel! πŸ’™

I reached for the Flowers Fair set and decided to get a little playful with my colouring… less “stay in the lines” and more “let’s see where the sparkle takes us.” And honestly? It took us somewhere pretty magical!

Instead of traditional colouring, I created a soft painted effect by dipping my ink pad, adding a spritz of water, and mixing in a generous dose of Wink of Stella. The result is this dreamy, slightly whimsical floral background with just the right amount of shimmer. Think blue garden after a light rain… but make it sparkly ✨

I paired that with a simple layered circle focal point to let the background shine (because when it’s this pretty, we don’t compete… we compliment πŸ˜‰). A few embellishments later and this card was ready to hop along!

Basic Steps:
  1. Card Base
Cut cardstock blueberry bushel to 4 ¼ x 11. Score at 5 ½ and fold in half to create your card base.

  2. Background Layer
Stamp the floral image on 4 x 5 1/4  Basic White cardstock. Add colour by dipping one of our blocks into your ink pad, squeeze wink a stella on the block with the ink and spritzing with water, using a paint brush paint in your the flowers then tap your paint brushes with a bone folder to make splatter drops. Adhere to card base

  3. Sentiment
Cut a Blueberry Bushel circle and white circle stamp your sentiment on the white circle. Adhere your 2 circles together off setting each other. Adhere to your card base with dimntionals.

  4. Final Touches
Add a few embellishments and extra splatter if desired for that artsy finish.

This card was such a fun reminder that sometimes the best results come from a little crafty experimenting… and maybe a tiny bit of glittery chaos πŸ˜„

Thanks so much for hopping along with me! Be sure to check out the next stop for more monochromatic inspiration πŸ’™
