Coast to Coast Creators – February Photo Challenge πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸš΄‍♂️

This month our team photo inspiration featured biking through snowy Canadian parks. Think crisp air, mountain views, frosty trails… absolutely stunning!

Now confession time… this West Coast Island crafter had zero snowy supplies in arm’s reach. Not a snowflake. Not a snowbank. Not even a lonely snow drift hiding in a drawer. πŸ˜‚

So instead of snow, I leaned into scenery! I pulled out some brand new dies (coming soon πŸ‘€) and created a layered peek-a-boo design to frame a beautiful landscape from a new set that’s also on the way. Same adventurous vibe, just traded snow for sunshine and rolling hills! When in doubt… pivot and get creative. Crafty rule of thumb: mountains don’t need mittens.

Basic Steps

1️⃣ Cut a standard card base in Basic White.
2️⃣ Die cut the detailed frame panel on Basic White using the new upcoming dies FOREVER FLORALS DIES
3️⃣ Stamp the landscape scene from the new up and coming set FAR AWAY LANDSCAPES  on a separate piece of Basic White.
4️⃣ Colour the scene using your favourite blends Add depth to the hills and water for dimension.
5️⃣ Lightly blend ink around the sky area for a soft horizon glow.
6️⃣ Adhere the coloured panel behind the die cut frame to create the peek-a-boo effect.
7️⃣ Die cut and stamp your sentiment, then pop it up with dimensionals.
8️⃣ Add a few coordinating embellishments for subtle sparkle.

That’s it! A snowy inspiration turned scenic celebration. Sometimes creativity just needs a little gear shift 🚴‍♀️✨ Let me know… are you team snow scenes or team sunshine landscapes?
