Bubble Bath but make it paws-itively adorable 🐾💗

This week’s monochromatic challenge had me reaching for Bubble Bath and leaning right into soft, sweet, and slightly sparkly. Instead of going floral, I built a playful puppy scene using the upcoming Cutest Crew stamp set from Stampin’ Up!. Because honestly, everything is better with dogs.

Basic Steps

1. Create the Card Base

Start with a Bubble Bath card base. Keeping the base the same colour as the theme really helps the monochromatic look shine.

2. Build the Background Layers

Add layers of Bubble Bath designer paper or cardstock in slightly different tones or finishes. Mixing subtle pattern with solid keeps everything interesting without leaving the colour family.

3. Add a Vellum Wrap

Wrap a strip of vellum across the center of the card. This softens the busy background and gives your stamped images a place to stand out.

4. Tie in Some Texture

Wrap ribbon or trim around the card front over the vellum and tie a bow on one side. This adds a cozy, handmade feel and a little dimension.

5. Stamp and Colour the Pups

Stamp the dogs from the Cutest Crew set onto Basic White cardstock and colour them in. Even though this is monochromatic, your characters do not have to be pink. Keeping the background pink makes the pups pop beautifully.

6. Create a Puppy Parade

Fussy cut or die cut the dogs and line them up across the vellum strip. Pop some up on dimensionals for extra depth and personality.

7. Add Tone-on-Tone Details

Die cut small flowers, stars, or shapes from Bubble Bath cardstock and tuck them around the pups. This keeps the colour story going while filling in empty spaces.

8. Stamp the Sentiment

Stamp a sweet greeting on Bubble Bath cardstock, then layer it onto the vellum with dimensionals so it floats above the scene.

9. Finish with Sparkle

Add a few rhinestones or gems for shine. Just a touch makes the card feel extra special without overpowering the soft look.

This card proves you can stay in one colour lane and still create a scene full of movement, personality, and fun. Who knew Bubble Bath was the perfect shade for a puppy playdate?
